Let me start out by saying that this was probably my favorite of the
albums that I reviewed in this batch of reviews. Good amount of
changes in each song. This album does not get stagnant at any point.
It has a tremendous amount of aggression and power put into it.
Excellent drumming in this one. He blasts out for a couple of seconds
then spreads his pounding all over the kit. The guitar work is also very
noteworthy as this is the main reason the music does not get real
stagnant. Good lead solos. They don’t take up half of the song. They
are short and sweet and to point and very reminiscent of classic
Haunting the Chapel era Slayer. Very entertaining extreme album.
This is a good cross of grinding death black metal. The vocals are
done very well and they do not drown out the rest of the music. I must
note the production on this as being well done. Sounds like a good
cassette recording put on cd. Still very good and equalized. You can
hear everything well and nothing drowns out anything. I must comment
on the cover art. This is a very interesting approach to cover art. It is
interesting and has a great concept behind it but I don’t think the artist
captured it to well. It looks too cartoonie for such a strong extreme
band as this.
-But don’t let the cover fool you, this is a must listen; for any fan of any
type of extreme music.
